Misr Helwan was founded as a sole institution and turned into a limited liability company in 1976. It was trading in various international home brands, and since 1977 the company began dealing with larger companies. The company is under the licensesing of Matsushita Electric Industrial (Panasonic Corporation) which was previously known as (National – Panasonic – Technics – Kweser) then united all the products in 2004 under the name of Panasonic.
